WARNING: Notice of Erroneous Information posted on the web about SkyViewZone.

One of my regular customers brought this to my attention:

www.mmclain.org has posted information on the web that is completely untrue.

On entering the term "Anne Mogul" into Google, the site mmclain.org was showing on Google's page one results claiming that I, Anne Mogul, am the official astrologer for Michael McClain's site Astrology-Numerology.com.

I have never been the "official site astrologer" for the Astrology-Numerology.com site and have no connection whatsoever with Astrology-Numerology.com.
Upon discovery of the current erroneous listing, I found that the domain mmclain.org was
purchased by Michael McClain in March of 2008.
The site owner posted this false claim above without my knowledge or consent or any agreement between us whatsoever. Why he would intentionally mislead the public by publishing a domain with this untrue claim is known only to Mr. McClain. I consider this to be an unethical business practice.

Until the portion of www.mmclain.org containing the untrue claim along with the cached version and the description is no longer viewable through any search engines associated with my name or any part of my site SkyViewZone as search terms, this notice will remain posted on SkyViewZone.

UPDATE: Since this notice has been posted, the main page has been "altered" and as of today Nov. 13, 2009 it is not showing on Google. However the cached version and the description with the erroneous information is still showing on Yahoo and Bing. I am asking Mr. McClain to remove the page so that none of it is displayed on any search engine.

How do I add more than one report deal to the shopping cart?

You may wish to add more than one report deal to the cart and not have to fill out all of your credit card information more than once.
Here's how: After you have filled out and submitted a birth form, that item is added to the cart. Simply return to shopping and fill out another birth form and submit that form. Don't worry, the cart will not lose the items added to the cart in a given visitor session and will continue to add them automatically. (You can always remove an item if you change your mind.) When you are ready to checkout, you may do so at any time. We will receive the birth forms you submit and will match those with whatever you purchased, by last name. If you submitted a form but decided to remove that report deal from the cart, then the birth form for the removed report deal is simply discarded automatically from our server when you finalize the payment. This way you will only be charged for and receive the report deals you want. Want more than one of the SAME report deal/offer? Submit the forms as described above, but simply change the quantity and recalculate when you are ready to checkout. Note that as you surf the site, there is also a shopping cart icon in the top right hand page border for your convenience, as well.

When you submit two forms and pay for one, the information on the form just previous to the payment is the one used to fill the order.

 I want a report. Where do I enter my birth information?

After you have selected your report, click the Buy Now button.

You will be directed to the automated birth information form where you will be asked for all of your birth information, e-mail, chart preferences, etc.

 "Send" the birth information and you will be directed to a page where you enter your credit card information. That's it!

 Why should I buy my own report when there is free information?

It depends on how in depth you want to go. The in-depth astrological interpretations take time. Writing the text for the reports takes a lot of time. Those astrologers who have access to the software that generates the calculations for the reports have invested  time, money and years of study in order to create comprehensive well-written report text.

If the birth information does not at least request  the exact month/day of birth, the place of birth and especially, a birth time AM or PM, then the report will not be as complete as it could be. However, there is still useful information to be discovered without a birth time.

There are 10 planets in signs found in a complete natal horoscope plus a rising sign which influence the individual as much as the Sun sign. Most free information can only enlighten about one of these factors; the Sun sign. The house where the Sun resides in your chart is the real life area such as career, partnerships, etc. where you will apply the Sun sign traits. The freebie stuff is fun, entertaining and sometimes even mildly educational. The  information that can actually shift your awareness and therefore your life; is not free.

What is the difference between  Newspaper Horoscopes and a full-length Birth Chart Report?

Daily horoscopes are an overly simplified technique that checks the current planet movements against the 12 Sun signs of the zodiac. They are extremely general in nature. They do make some hits based on the law of averages though and sometimes they even hit the mark. They help sell newspapers and the like.

Your natal birth chart, especially one that includes the birth time, is like a custom made blueprint of the planetary energies that were in effect when you were born. It's your own unique life plan. It's made up of the 10 planets, the 12 signs and the 12 houses. A completely unique combination of 34 cosmic influences.

There's just no comparison between the individual birth chart reading and the daily sun sign horoscopes. Our Chart Zone natal reports are a good place to start, especially if your experience with astrology has been "daily horoscope" based. Sky View Zone does offer a Monthly Horoscope for each sign.  The monthly horoscope is  a forecast for the "astro weather conditions" triggered by the planet movement through the solar chart houses for each sign.  Isn't astrology just like a psychic reading?

Here is the difference.  Some astrologers are psychic and they use the chart just like a tarot reader uses cards; to boost and confirm their own intuition. An astrologer who is not psychic, but who has studied the art for a number of years can produce a reading that seems psychic, just because it can so accurately describe the life, the approach to life and even future trends.  Even non-psychic astrologers often report that their intuition is greatly enhanced through the study and practice of chart readings.  How do I obtain my birth time and why is it so important?

A reading based on the precise month/day/year (without birth times) produces a report that is mainly your personality and psychological approach to life. You will learn about planets in signs and the aspects in  your chart - which is still more enlightening than no birth chart interpretation at all.
A reading with an accurate clock time of birth includes a Rising sign interpretation and planets in houses. The Rising sign is the one factor that makes your chart unique from all others with the same date.

Check with your parents first. See if they either remember the time of birth or know where the information is, such as a baby book, etc.

The birth time must be accurate to the minute with am or pm included.

For example: Somewhere between 3:30 and 5:30 is too far off. Or, "Mom says it was in the afternoon." Unfortunately, this is not close enough.

Sometimes a 30 minute difference is okay, but, still risky. A new sign rises every 2 hours. In astrology, that can represent an entirely different life experience.

A wrong birth time yields information that does not apply to you. If you do not have an accurate time of birth then it is best to order a report without a birth time. There is still a lot of useful information contained in a report without birth times. All planet in sign and planet aspect information remains the same.

The birth time sets up the houses of the horoscope as they apply to you. The houses of the horoscope modify the planets to a large extent and they also refer to the material plane experiences. The houses of the horoscope are specific areas of life, like career, marriage, money, siblings, work, friends. To make timed predictions about a specific area of life; the birth time is crucial.
If no one close to you knows exactly what time you were born, then call the Bureau of Vital Statistics in the city and state where you were born.
Ask for a copy if your birth certificate that has the time of birth on it-sometimes referred to as the long form.  Then, you'll always have it.

 I made a mistake on the birth information form. What now?

Since we give you 2 opportunities to check your form entries we charge a small but fair fee for correcting your report. Fill out the correction form and another set will be sent.

I had a chart done by another astrologer and/or site and the planets placements in Houses are different. Why?

Unless you can contact the astrologer or the site and find out what house system was used, then we must assume the chart was not accurately calculated by whomever did your original chart(s). Our charts are as accurate as the birth information supplied. Calculations by the most accurate astrological software available, completely avoids errors. If your chart was done by hand, as many were years ago, the chances are great that the manual calculations are the problem.
Some software, especially older software may be in error. Online automatic chart generators often are not as up to date as they should be. There are at least a dozen different house systems and each one may potentially change the exact planet placements in the houses. We offer the most commonly used. Equal, Placidus and Koch.

The Equal House System avoids the problem with the Placidus which results in extremely uneven houses if the native should be born in extreme northern or southern latitudes.

Debbie Kempton Smith the author of Secrets From a StarGazer's Notebook recommends either Equal House or Koch. We offer Placidus because of it's long popularity among so many who study astrology. Each house system has it's own validity.

Margaret Hone puts forth an excellent argument in favor of Equal House in her book, "Applied Astrology" which is why it is the default for SkyViewZone. Jeff Mayo and the Faculty for Astrological Studies also favors this house system.

All charts are calculated using the Tropical Zodiac. We do not offer Sidereal charts, however, the Cayce Past Life report gives sidereal interpretations for the Sun and Moon and the Sun and Moon decanates ONLY. The rest of the report uses tropical placements for all planets in signs and houses.

Why do you want my correct address when I make a payment?

To protect your card. In order to have your card accepted by the payment gateway, you will need to enter the entire correct billing address for your credit card, otherwise, the system thinks that perhaps someone else is attempting to use your card and will reject it. Often an illegal user will keep trying to guess the address and the system will automatically reject further attempts even if it is correct, so please enter the correct address where you receive your credit card bill initially. This is no different from the majority of sites and it protects the user's card much better than if we simply asked for a zip code match. Some enterprises have selected to ask for a three digit code and/or zip code match only, which makes it easier for anyone who has access to your card in the area where you live, to use it illegally. We use more than one check for legal card use including the three digit code. However, even that code may be visible to anyone you may have handed your card to. The entire address request is a further safety net for your card. Some larger sites have chosen to absorb resulting merchant account chargeback fees in order to make purchasing easier for anyone who has credit card information in their possession by not using these additional checks...and their higher prices for the same service usually reflects that choice.

SkyViewZone does not share your address or utilize it in any way. We do not have the ability to see your card information as all pertinent information necessary to use a credit card is kept completely private by our payment gateway.

My purchase was declined online but the amount is showing when I checked with my card customer service or card issuing bank.

When a customer makes a purchase online or in any retail business there are two steps: 1. Authorization 2. Capture. The Authorization is the process which validates the buyers credit card and the Capture is the process to extract the funds and transfer them to the merchant. The information entered in the checkout process is sent securely to the card owner's issuing bank and the merchant's payment gateway attempts to Authorize the sale, primarily checking expiration dates, address details and card funds availability only which means that no funds are actually transferred at this point. The Authorized amount from a Declined transaction cannot be Captured and sent to the merchants account.

Since the attempt by the payment gateway to Authorize the card use was declined, no funds will be taken from your account. Depending on your individual bank the Declined amount may or may not be recorded temporarily. If so, it will disappear within 1 to 10 days depending on your bank or card institution policies. Contact them for more information. Authorization amounts that have been Declined by your bank/card company cannot be reversed or refunded by the merchant because the option to Capture (finalize) the amount has been automatically removed from the merchant by the payment gateway.

ALERT! A disinformation campaign circulating throughout the internet recently has been suggesting that a card may be credited with funds or that a product must be delivered by the merchant even though the purchase has been declined by the card owner's bank/institution. In this case the card user claims to the merchant that an "amount" is showing on their debit or credit card records. In some instances the disinformation campaign suggests that entering a wrong billing address or other "mistakes" will trigger the decline and then they encourage the card user to contact the merchant and demand dollar amount credits to their card and/or to deliver services/products. This campaign has obviously been designed by a prankster(s) to waste the card user's time and effort since the merchant cannot return funds they never received. It may also tie up the card owner's available funds temporarily since a declined authorization amount sometimes pushes the card or account over it's limit until the attempted sale amount has been dropped by the user's bank. If you have information about the source of such a disinformation campaign, please let your bank know about it, since encouraging this type of card abuse is illegal. We cannot honor requests to credit an account based on a funds Authorization attempt that has been declined by the payment gateway for any reason and we will not honor requests to send a product or fulfill a service based on a declined amount.

Why do you sell Reports and Software?

For the same reason that a bookstore sells coffee and music and a large department store chain sells clothing, groceries and fast food; diversity and choice!

Why don't you use Clickbank to accept payments anymore?

Clickbank does not allow the merchant to know who their affiliates are so that offering specials and other incentives was impossible. And...Clickbank is really designed for merchants selling non-personalized pre-made material that is downloaded instantly online. Although we explained ad infinitum on site that the order had to be individually created, too many people complained that they were not instantly given access to their order after payment. Therefore, we are no longer listed in the Clickbank Marketplace. Although some sites have chosen to sell personalized astrology reports though Clickbank, it was our personal choice to switch and we had absolutely no problem with the company and would recommend them if asked.

Why don't you use PayPal to accept payments anymore?

Quite simply...we personally found that bookkeeping the merchant account we use now is much easier to use for our site's needs. Again, it was our personal choice to switch and we have absolutely no complaint with the PayPal and would recommend them.

I placed and order or attempted to place an order. Do you have my card details?

No. Whether your card is accepted or declined the details are never known to us. The authorization process is done online through a secure connection between the payment gateway and your card issuing bank. The only thing we receive is a notice that lets us know that an authorization for an order was successful.
